BELMAR, NJ — There were two new faces at Lake Como Board of Education’s annual reorganization meeting: Michele Cartaya who joined the six-member elected board and Michael Bardsley who was appointed as its business administrator/board secretary.
Cartaya was victorious in her second bid for a school board seat, winning by several votes over incumbent Mary Lou Underhill in November’s general election. Bardsley, who began this month in the same role for the Belmar school board, had been part-time business administrator for the Sea Girt school district.
